Evidence of Learning:

  1. As students give presentations, students will learn about 6 different animals particular to the cloud forest. At the conclusion of the lesson, I will ask students what they have learned. I will listen for responses of descriptions of all 6 animals. In handbooks, students will write the names of the 6 animals and write one interesting fact about the animal. I will collect the books to check that they have completed it.
  2. I will ask students to tell me about their previous knowledge of cloud forests and will listen for responses that describe the cloud forest.
  3. After my introduction, students will learn about the Monteverde Cloud Forest. In the handbook, students will have to tell me 2 things they learned about the Monteverde Cloud Forest that I will collect and evaluate.
  4. I will observe and listen to every group give a presentation to the class.

Reflection:

  1. Did students have fun?
  2. Were students interested in each other's presentations?
  3. What could I have done differently?
  4. Did students learn about the forest and its animals?

Adaptation:

Help lower students fill out their handbooks individually by reading the questions orally.
