About Me
Hello, my name is Kona Taylor and I am a second year doctoral student
in the
Curriculum and Instruction
Department at the University of Illinois
at
Urbana-Champaign. I work in the SIMED lab
and my current research interests include the use of simulations
and virtual reality technology to explore cognitive and emotional
dispositions related
to teaching and learning. Specifically, I plan to
utilize SecondLife
to research how educators in the real world are able to design and
implement curriculum in a virtual world. My background
includes
various degree's in Cognitive & Quantitive Psychology, History,
& Biology, and I've previously taught at the Community College
and
University level.
