Innovations in scholarship and research are conducted in the areas of early intervention to assist the families of young children with delays/disabilities to facilitate their child’s development and learning; inclusion through access to the general curriculum, service learning, differentiated and culturally sensitive instruction, literacy, and transition to adult roles; applied behavior analysis for assuming community roles and learning; leadership development in schools, research, and policy; community-based programming; and training professionals to implement innovations in evidence-based practice. Faculty, staff, and graduate students have external funding for conducting this research, collaborating with community partners, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations.
