Nonacademic Job Search Workshop Series: Resumes and Cover Letters--
Academic job searches require a curriculum vitae, but career opportunities with non-academic organizations require a resume and a clear understanding of the skills non-academic employers are seeking. This workshop will discuss the differences between the curriculum vitae and the resume, help graduate students highlight their transferable skills in resume format, discuss the different types of resumes, and provide suggestions for formatting and self-promotion. Cover letter writing will also be discussed. |
