William Chandler Bagley Doctoral Scholarship
The College of Education designates outstanding, currently enrolled, graduate doctoral students as Bagley Scholars. These awards are funded from gifts of alumni and friends of the College of Education and named after William Chandler Bagley, an early Director of the former School of Education, who is known for his insistence that both formal training and experience are needed to promote good educational practice. Scholars are eligible for a maximum of two Bagley awards and receive a taxable award of $2,000 payable in two installments (1/2 fall; 1/2 spring) which will be applied to their student account.
