Dean Harris is actively interested and conducts research in the areas of children's literature, multicultural children's literature, children's book publishing, the historic development of African American literacy, and the creation of literacy materials created specifically for African Americans. She is a dog lover and frequently spends a quiet day reading.

Dean Clevenger Evans is passionate about her work with the college undergraduate programs and the James Scholars Honors Program. She works closely with College faculty and Staff to continually improve students' experiences at the College of Education. Brenda is also a College of Education Alumn, having received her Master's here. When not in the office, she's typically traveling with her husband.

Dean Trent has dedicated herself to improving diversity and minority recruitment at the College of Education. Her commitment to the College is a family one as her husband is a professor in Educational Policy Studies. Mildred frequently models lovely outfits which she has made herself. She is also a proud mother and grandmother.
