Application

The admission process for the fourth (Fall 2007) RECRUIT cohort is now complete.

We are now accepting applications for the fifth (Fall 2008) cohort. To be considered for admission to the fourth cohort, you need to apply to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction prior to January 1, 2008.

To apply, you need to complete the application online (or download an application package) and submit additional materials as follows:

1. Submit Part 1 of the Application for Admission to the Gradate College accompanied by an application fee of $40 to The Office of Admissions and Records, 910 West Illinois, Urbana, IL 61801.

2. Submit Part 2 of the Application for Admission to the Graduate College accompanied by an up to date resume/vita (including both professional and educational experiences) and a one-page statement of purpose to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

3. Submit original transcripts from all institutions in which you have previously been enrolled in undergraduate and graduate studies. Request these to be forwarded directly from the institution to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

4. Submit three letters of reference. You can doweled the Letter of Reference form provided online. Letters of Reference should be mailed directly to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.

5. Submit Supplemental Application for Graduate Admission to Teacher Education Programs accompanied by a three to four page essay. This application provides details of the special requirements for admission to certification programs. This should be sent directly to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
