Academic Programs

Bachelor's degree or Ph.D.? On campus or online? Classroom teacher or university professor? In the College, you really can have it all. Whether you're headed to college for the first time or you're returning to earn an advanced degree, we have a program that will meet your needs. You can start exploring the possibilities by following the links below.

Admissions

The admission process to the College depends on what type of degree you're seeking (graduate or undergraduate) and what field of study you want to pursue. Also, if you're an international student coming to Illinois to study, there are some additional requirements you'll need to meet. Find out more about how you join us with the links below.

Academic Departments

Study in the College is broken out across six academic departments, each featuring different curriculum, faculty and degree opportunities. While all six departments teach a large number of undergraduate courses, only Special Education and Curriculum and Instruction offer undergraduate degrees for teachers. Master's and doctoral study is offered in all of our academic programs.

Student Fact

The student to faculty ratio for undergraduates in the College is 7 to 1, the graduate student ratio is 8 to 1. There are nearly 40,000 students on the campus.
