Admissions Process

Doctoral and master degree candidates must follow University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate application procedure . An applicant for admission to a graduate degree program must have a grade-point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).


Please note that applicants are NOT REQUIRED to submit any test scores such as the GRE or MAT.
Admission decisions will not be made until the applicant has submitted:


1. all college transcripts
2. a written goal statement
3. three current letters of reference

In addition to the above items, international students must submit a TOEFEL score (taken within two years of the start of the semester for which the student is requesting admission). Minimum TOEFEL score is 257(computer version) or 613 (paper version).

Please note the following deadlines for full consideration for admission to the doctoral or master's degree programs. Application materials must be on file by these deadlines:
