The goal of this project is for preservice teachers and student teachers to identify "exemplary" teaching practices of their cooperating teachers and to publish those ideas in HTML format. Hopefully, this will be a growing body of teaching ideas for both students and teachers to explore.
Whenever we use the adjectives, "exemplary" or "best," in terms of teaching practices, we must realize that these are relative terms. Noone is making the claim that the ideas published here all subscribe to any one philosophy of teaching. The ideas represent the gamut--there are big ideas, small ideas, ideas about management, ideas about attitudes, ideas about content. There is no claim that these ideas are unique--just that they are the ideas teachers have identified as their best practice of teaching--each in their own individual circumstances.
These ideas are indexed by the name of the student teacher, the "editorial assistant" for publishing the cooperating teacher's best practice.
Three were selected as "Best of the Best Practices"
