Connecting to the College of Education Servers from a Windows NT/2000/XP Machine

Note: If you are a member of UIUC and, after trying the instructions below, you are having difficulty connecting to the servers from off campus, please try installing the CITES VPN Service. For more information, please visit our Clients Outside Of Campus page.

1. If appropriate, log onto your computer with your UIUC Active Directory (AD) Account. Though this is not required, it will simplify the process.
To log in with your AD account: When you start up your computer you are prompted to log in. Use your AD login and password and make sure that the Domain field contains UIUC. If you are currently logged in with a different account hold down the <CTRL> , <ALT> , and <DELETE> keys simultaneously to logout. Then logon with your AD account.
