Benefits
Planning, Assistance and Outreach (BPAO) Projects
In October 2006, the Social Security Administration (SSA) replaced the Benefits Planning, Assistance and Outreach Program with the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program. The Program was renamed because of an increased emphasis on work incentives, return to work supports and jobs for beneficiaries. For more information, please visit http://www.socialsecurity.gov/work/ServiceProviders/WIPADirectory.html
BPAO Projects exist in each state. BPAO staff provides individualized analyses for those wondering what will happen to their benefits when they get a job. All benefits, including Social Security benefits, are covered by BPAO.
