Findings from the
RSA Region V CRP-RCEP staff provide training, technical assistance, and information dissemination to a wide range of CRPs and personnel to facilitate integrated employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. CRPs include independent living centers, rehabilitation centers, residential facilities, supported employment agencies, private, and not for profit agencies. Target audiences for continuing education and professional development training include employment specialists, job developers, job coaches, case managers, support staff, vocational rehabilitation counselors, teachers, transition specialists, guidance counselors, employers, family members and others. Training, technical assistance, and information are provided proactively as well as responsively to meet the needs of RSA Region V stakeholders. Training topics such as person-centered planning, self-determination, natural supports in the workplace, customized employment, ethics, ADA, and community partnerships are offered, as well as aspects of sound business/management practices and leadership development. CRCs and CEUs are available with these professional development activities. |
