Financial Aid is available in the form of:
- Research and Teaching Assistantships (limited availability)
- Tuition Waivers (limited availability)
- Fellowships and Scholarships (limited availability)
- Veteran/Military Grants
- Student Aid Loans
Minimum course load for financial aid eligibility:
- Summer: Must be enrolled in 3 credit hours of courses.
- Spring or Fall: Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours of courses.

* Please note that some fellowships and scholarships require that you apply for admission prior to the HRE Department's official deadline.
Online Students (CCTL and HRD Master's Programs)
Financial Aid is available in the form of:

- Student Aid Loans
Students who are on the standard two-year program are eligible for financial aid each semester. All students are eligible for financial aid in the Summer.
- Summer: Must be enrolled in 3 credit hours of courses.
- Spring or Fall: Must be enrolled in 6 credit hours of courses.
To qualify, a student must be accepted into a degree program.

Due to the university funding structure, students cannot use university employee tuition waivers or University of Illinois cooperating teacher waivers for HRE Online courses. Other employer tuition waivers, military waivers, and Veteran's grants are not affected by this policy. On-campus master's degree programs in the HRE Department do accept tuition waivers.
Online Students (CCTL Certificate Program)
Financial aid is not available for CCTL certificate students.
