Always Illinois offers the basic functions of an online directory plus the ability to create your own personal network. It's like a U of I version of Facebook or MySpace, only with added security and privacy!

2. After you Login, Join Our Official HRE Groups

To join, just click the group name(s) below and select the "Add to My Groups" button:

You can also create your own groups or request that the HRE Department add additional groups!

 

Any Illinois alumni, students, faculty and staff can join Always Illinois. First, you create a login and profile. Next, you can join groups and invite friends/colleagues to join your network (or become an online "friend"). Once you create your network, you are also linked to the networks of all the people you know, exponentially increasing the power of the overall HRE/Illinois network. You'll be surprised at how many people you have a connection to—it's like a customized version of six degrees of separation!

Always Illinois facilitates expanded career networking opportunities for HRE alumni and students, and offers online forums to ask and offer advice, find a place to live, or post a job among those affiliated with HRE or the University of Illinois. Unless you change the email options, you will receive automatic notifications of any messages posted for you or your groups.
