The History of Education Society UK Essay Prize
A national prize is awarded annually for an original essay in the field of history of education. The essay will be considered by a panel of judges appointed by the executive of the History of Education Society UK. A monetary prize is awarded of £75 and free attendance at the following History of Education Society annual conference, when the prize will be awarded.
To be eligible for the award, the candidate must be:
a) a new researcher who has not yet had a publication in a major academic journal
b) a member of the History of Education SocietyThe article should be in English, of maximum 5,000 words in length including footnotes and include a cover sheet with the title only of the article. We welcome submissions from any area of the history of education in any historical period.
It is anticipated that the winning essay will be published in the History of Education Researcher (subject to the normal refereeing criteria and procedure). The essay should be accompanied by brief biographical details.
