The University of Illinois officially launched their $2.5 billion "Brilliant Futures" fundraising campaign to ensure the continued preeminence of the institution. As part of the Urbana-Champaign effort, the College announced that it will raise $17 million to support student scholarships, faculty chairs and professorships and to develop new programs of innovative service and research.
