Deadlines

All applications must be processed by the EOL department and the Graduate College. In order to receive full consideration for admission, applicants are encouraged to submit all of their application materials and other requirements as early as possible before the deadline. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application is complete and all materials are received by the EOL department by the deadline.

The Higher Education and Educational Administration and Leadership programs are now only accepting admissions for on-campus programs for fall semester, spring entrance is being discontinued. Off-campus programs may have different deadline dates. The deadline for Fall admission is the preceding April 15. It is to your advantage to have completed your application file by this date, as our faculty will begin their review with those files that are complete, and in many cases a file that is not complete will not be reviewed at all.

Financial aid decisions are made in February of each year. Applicants who wish to be considered for various College and University fellowships and scholarships MUST submit their application to the EOL department by January 15.

 

The deadlines by which completed application and all supporting materials must be received for all EOL graduate programs are:

• February 15 – (Educ Admin only) for full consideration for Off-Campus Type 75 cohort program beginning in Spring 2008 at Chicago.
• January 15 – (Educ Admin & Higher Educ) for fall admission, for students interested in full-time on-campus study, so that they may be eligible for on-campus fellowship and scholarship opportunities.
• April 15 – (Educ Admin & Higher Educ) for full consideration for fall admission, for students interested in part-time on-campus study, and for full-time students who do not wish to apply for on-campus fellowship and scholarship opportunities.
• April 15 – (Educ Admin only) for full consideration for Off-Campus Type 75 cohort program beginning in Summer 2008 at Oak Brook (deadline has been extended for Summer '08).
• June 1-- (Online programonly) for full consideration for the Educational Leadership & Policy Summer cohort.
• September 1 -- (Online programonly) for full consideration for the Educational Leadership & Policy Spring cohort.
  

Applicants for the on-campus programs and who wish to apply for an assistantship are encouraged to submit their application package as soon as possible rather than waiting for the April 15 deadline.
