Criteria

Applicants to the department are screened by the department admissions committee using a mix of criteria. The minimum requirements as listed are used to form the basis of the admissions decision. The department aims to admit students whose academic and professional career goals are best served by the faculty and core of courses offered by the department and who will contribute to their field of study.

Another important attribute to reach an admissions decision is the student's GPA. Once the Graduate College Application has been completed and official transcripts have been received, EOL staff will request calculation of the GPA. Click here to read more on GPA Screening.
