For more than100 years, thousands of students have studied in the College of Education -- building close friendships as they built a lasting relationship with the University of Illinois. While graduation marked the end of your time on campus, we know that your Illinois experience has remained with you. Alumni and friends of the College of Education are all around the country and the globe - and we can help you find ways to connect with them and to stay a part of the Education family. The Department of Educational Psychology has for many years been ranked in the top five programs in Educational Psychology in the country. We have earned that reputation not simply because of the consistent accomplishments of our faculty in teaching, research, and scholarship, but because of the outstanding quality and success of our graduates. We are justifiably proud of our graduates and hope you feel the same sense of pride and continue to benefit from being a graduate or friend of our department.

The excellence of our academic program depends on your support. Operating an academic department in this era of declining state support for public research universities requires that we look to our alumni and friends to help us maintain that margin of excellence that sets us apart from other programs in the country. Private giving plays an increasingly important role in our ability to support the kind of first-rate doctoral education that characterizes our department here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Please browse our web site to review our accomplishments and to learn more about our programs, faculty, staff, and students. If you have questions about the department, please contact me. I encourage you to stay involved and keep us informed about your personal and professional accomplishments.
