Research Biography

My research foci vary between applied measurement (standardized testing, generalizability theory, item response theory) and statistical modeling (structural equation modeling, hierarchical linear models), with special interest in applications to longitudinal data.

The most recent manifestations of these interests have been a study of the relationship between scores from constructed response and multiple choice test items, on the one hand, and growth curve models for longitudinal data. This latter topic is likely to remain my primary emphasis in the near future.
