Day Activity Description
July 1
Rich Multimedia

Go through Vanna Pianfetti's audio-narrated Powerpoint and her "Digital Video in Instruction" web site. (Note: the last 2 minutes of the Powerpoint are a blank slide and silence, so you can stop at 48:18. The sound from 39:15 to 39:58 is messed up - just ignore that 43 seconds of sound and read the Powerpoint slides during that time.)

Select some use of video or audio and embed it in a web page in an educationally interesting way. In WebBoard, post a description of what you did, the URL to the page, and why you think it is educationally interesting. This can be on your major project site, but if it doesn't make sense to put it there, put it on a separate web page.

July 2
Social & Policy Issues

With your group, revise the White Paper you've been assigned (as indicated by the name of your group). One member of your group should copy the page(s) by loading them into a web browser, and Save As (and select HTML source as the format in Internet Explorer; select Source as the format in Netscape). Divide up the sections of the White Paper among your group. For each section, fix or delete any broken links, add one or more new links you find that are relevant, extending the white paper in at least one interesting way. Put all the changes into the copy of the White Paper, add your names at the top under the original authors names ("Revised by...") and publish the file(s) to the web folder of one of the members of the group. Please put them into a separate folder/directory, so I can easily find them. Post in WebBoard the URL for your revised White Paper, describe the changes you made (and who made them), and make recommendations for more major changes (which will be passed on the CTER4 students, which will be making more major changes as part of their EPS course in July).

Respond to at least two other reports of revised white papers.

July 3
Major project revision

Revise your major project and its presentation, taking into account the feedback you've received. Post your final version of your project presentation site in WebBoard.

Post the rest of your trouble log into the Troubleshooting Knowledgebase.

July 5
Feedback on project reports

Read all the other project reports, and respond to at least two that don't have responses already with constructive feedback.

July 6
Major project presentation

In either WebBoard chat, AIM, or in TAPPED IN, present your major project.

July 6
Course evaluation

Complete the online course and instructor evaluation. Indicate in C-Base that you've completed the evaluation (just put in as text "Completed").
