About the DataMasters Group

WHO:
DataMasters: The U of I community that works with data and data related applications to include technical architects, database administrators, and data analysts

WHAT:
The formation of a new professional group for these “DataMasters” that supports an environment of information sharing, professional development, and institutional learning

WHY:
The shifting of the campus data underpinnings has highlighted the need for a professional forum that brings together the broad spectrum of users that work with data and data related applications. We need a forum to share knowledge and expertise.

BENEFITS:
The DataMasters group is a workforce multiplier. The benefits are in the numbers. By drawing upon the collective knowledge of experts, we can create a repository that benefits and empowers many.
