USB Ethernet Adapter![]() |
This device allows you to connect your computer directly to a Cabel moden, DSL modem, network hub or other high speed network access. This device is a replacement to traditinal ethernet cards that are placed inside of your computer. This device does not require as much expertise as an ethernet card because it relys on a new technology called Universal Serial Bus (USB) to help the computer communicate with the adapter and your network. It can be moved from one computer to another as long as each has a "USB" plug. Macintosh and PC compatible computers now come with the Universal Serial Bus (USB) plug as a standard. This allows non-technical people to be able to add devices to their computers without having to open up the casing and risk damaging the computer or have expert knowledge of how a computer works. These USB devices are not only easy to install but are also very affordable because vendors can make a single model that will support PC, Mac and Hand held devices. You can also plug and unplug these devices while the computer is still running. This is called "Hot Swapable." |
