Edee Wiziecki is the K-8 Science Coordinator at the Franklin Science Center of the Champaign Community Schools Unit District #4 in Champaign, Illinois. She is responsible for coordinating the hands-on elementary science curriculum and for maintaining the library resource center. She was a science teacher for 10 years and developed a student-centered science lab experience for children in grades 6, 7 and 8. She has been a curriculum consultant for many projects sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Energy and Natural Resources. She has published science articles and booklets for children and teachers and is currently working on a homework guide in science for children in grades 3-6. Her dream is to hear children say, "I love science" throughout their K-12 school experience.
