Hello Satex Folks.

We are working on a unit this spring dealing with the human body.
The unit will cover all the major body systems (digestive, circulatory,
respiratory, skeletal, nervous and muscular). We want to connect
intermediate (4-6) classrooms together to explore the different systems
with exciting activities. The invovlved classrooms will add to a fact sheet
for each body system. We will take those facts to compile a list that all
participants will share with their classes. From the list we will create a
"Jeopardy"-like Human Body Olympics. On a given day this will be sent out
to all classrooms to complete and to respond. We will include tie-breakers
to determine gold, silver, and bronze medal winners.

Class Bio will require these things:
Name of school
Teacher name
School location
email address
Classroom grade
Number of students

Possible Activities:
Digestive- naming organs, food diary
Nervous- naming organs, response tests
Respiratory- naming organs, lung model
Muscular- naming organs, exercises
Circulatory- naming organs, crcuits
Skeletal- naming bones, making models

Tie Breakers:
Collective class heights
Collective class weights
Collective class typical diet with lowest fat content
Target heart rate activiites

Tenative Dates:
