Hello to Satex classmates,

Attached you will find the project proposal from Sandy Shetler, Jeannie
Gullett, and Tina Veal.  (This is what we are proposing to put out over the
web.)  The three of us work for the University of Illinois Cooperative
Extension Service.  4-H is a part of the programming that we do.  Our
project is developed around the promotion of 4-H projects on the web.The
Illinois State 4-H office has been wanting to put a few activities from
various new projects on the web for teachers to use in their classroom with
the option of obtaining the complete project manual.  We will be attempting
to help them out with the first manual.  We will be taking four of the
activities from the Food Science project manual and creating several
different web pages for them.  We have never made a web page before so this
will be a BIG challenge for us.  But as I always say, "You can do anything
you put your mind to!"  

Included in these web pages, we hope to have links to pages we created on
experiential learning, developing life skills, creating a food science kit
for your classroom using the curriculum plus more.  Each of the four
activities will have both teacher resource information as well as student
activity pages.  

Sounds like a feat to accomplish?  As I'm telling you about this, I begin
to realize just what work this will entail especially for us who are
"green" at this.  WE WILL SUCCEED!  Keep in touch with our page as we
progress to find out how we are doing.  

When you read the attached proposal, let us know what we are missing in our
promotion to the world.  What would make it more interesting and
understandable to those reading it?  We hope you will like what we produce.
