Project: "HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT MY NEW KID????"

Time Line: March 22, 1997 - May 22, 1997
Project Discription:
My project is going to be an information gathering project for
teachers in grades K-4. I want to create a hands-on booklet written for
teachers, by teachers, about disruptive students they have in their
classrooms.
This project will deal with the outrageously behaved student we all
get once in awhile in our classes. Those children who become loud,
abusive, and sometimes a threat to other students and/or the teachers. All
of us have a "bag of tricks" that we use, but we constantly search for new
suggestions. That is what this project is all about. I need teachers to
log in with strategies they have used to disfuse situations, or to help
students stay focused on school activities.
This is what I need from teachers willing to join:
1. Your name
2. EMail address
3. School and Address for US Mail
4. Phone Number
5. Date of Entry
6. Grade Level/Teaching Content Area
7. Your idea (suggestion) in a brief (5 - 10 sentences) disruptions.
8. Any additional materials, personnel, or parental contact necessary?
9. Additional comments?
*** In return for your time and effort, I will compile and mail to you
through the US Mail any and all ideas that I receive at the end of May.
Hopefully we can developed a type of newsletter to help all of us in the
"trenches" of today's classrooms.
