I'm working on getting certified in secondary education and currently hold a BA from the University of Illinois, with a major in English and Rhetoric. I currently reside in Hoffman Estates, a suburb of Chicago, and I've been substitute teaching in Districts 211 and 214. While subbing is more enjoyable than a lot of jobs I've had, I am anxious to have my own classroom, and I'm especially excited about the ways I can make English literature interesting using the information and communication possibilities of the Internet.
