Using SAS/Interactive data analysis

SAS/INSIGHT

 

 

 

 

Under “Solutions”     “Analysis”       “Interactive data analysis”

 

 

Select desired SAS data set.

 

A window containing data from that data will open:

 

 

                                       

 

 

Options under the  Analyze” on the SAS/INSIGHT toolbar:

 

·        Histogram/Bar chart (Y)

·        Line Plot (YX)

·        Scatter Plot (YX)

·        Contour Plot (ZYX)

·        Rotating Plot (XYZ)

 


·        Distribution (Y)

·        Fit (YX)

·        Multivariate (YX)

 

 

Selection “Distribution”

 

 

 

Select variable(s) that you want graphics and summary statistics for the observed distribution, e.g.,

 

 

Click on “OK”

 

 

 

Under “Graph”          “Q-Q Plot”

 

Under “Curves”:

o       Parametric Density…

o       Kernal Density…

o       Empirical Density…

o       CDF Confidence Bands

o       Parametric CDF…

o       Test for a Specific Distribution…

o       Test for Distribution…

o       Q-Q Ref Line…

 

To print the results:

 

1)   You can click on various parts of the output and “move” them around to compose your output (i.e., click on objects and drag them around).

2)   Highlight parts that you want to print by clicking on them. 

3)   Under “File” selection “Print”.  You will be asked whether to “fill page” or “one per page”.  You can also put on titles and footnotes at this point.
