• Creating your ePortfolio files
  • look at the template file using Netscape
  • select File -> Edit Page
  • change all the UPPER CASE text
  • insert your picture if you want
  • fix the email link: mailto:YOUR-EMAIL-ADDRESS
  • add any other text and links
  • save to local hard disk

• Moving your ePortfolio files (your eportfolio and your picture file(s) to your server space
  • start up WS_FTP (or any other FTP application)
  • make a new connection. Specify students.uiuc.edu as the "host"
  • log in with your netid and regular netid password
  • go to your public_html directory
  • select the file(s) on local hard disk and copy to your server space

• Viewing your ePortfolio file from the server
  • http://www.students.uiuc.edu/~YOURNETID/eportfolio.html
  • If you get a "permission denied" error message, start up a Telnet application, login to your students account, go to the Unix prompt, type   webperm
