The purpose of the project is to develop, evaluate, and disseminate effective methods to: improve student potential for successful postsecondary experiences, provide accommodations and modifications for cognitive and/or physical disabilities, and transfer student accommodations to the employment setting.

Activities include:

• outreach programs that offer free TA for secondary students and their families,
• case based training programs,
• cooperative education program for 50 postecondary students with a variety of severe disabilities, at least 20% of whom belong to a minority group,
• evaluation, and
• dissemination of information about the project.

Collaborators: Center for Applied Neuropsychology, CC of Allegheny County, of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Public schools and Wilkinsburg School Disstric, and the Pittsburgh District Office of the Pennsylvania Office of VR, Employer Council and advisory panel involvement.
