The proposed project is a collaborative effort between the Institute on Community Integration and Minnesota Research and Development Center on Vocational Education at the University of Minnesota, the Fond du Lac and Mille Lacs tribal councils, Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Brainerd-Staples Regional Technical College, and the Anishinabe and Fond du Lac Opportunities Industrialization Centers (OICs). Included is specific attention to a) the transition of students with disabilities from high school to postsecondary education, b) the use of accommodations to ensure that students access and successfully complete their programs of studies, and c) attention to the transference of student accommodations to the employment setting.
