Hands On

 

This half of the workshop will be hands on use of Contribute on our test WF site.

It will be a chance to:

  • work with Contribute
  • ask questions and have dialog

Some hands on tasks to try

  • Admin Tasks
    • Create a Contribute Role
    • Create a Contribute Key
  • User/Author Tasks
    • Create a page and publish it.
    • Edit a page
    • Send a page for review.
    • insert a word document
    • insert an image
    • create a table

Authors will need to be added to the permissions group to do the hands on. If you've registered ahead of time, this is already done. If you haven't and brought a laptop this can be done during the first half of the workshop.

  • Contribute password = wf
  • URL for test site is http://w6.ed.uiuc.edu/
  • To get added to AD permissions group, email eohlsson@uiuc.edu during the talk. If you don't have a uiuc netid, he will also make a guest account for you.
  • windows file path to keys: \\www.ed.uiuc.edu\edwebsstaged\keys
  • mac file path to keys smb://www.ed.uiuc.edu/edwebstaged/keys
  • Active Directory account management: http://accounts.ad.uiuc.edu
