2006 Spring Graduate Student Symposium

Call for Proposals

 

Graduate students in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction are invited to submit

proposals for the 2006 C&I Spring Graduate Student Symposium. The symposium seeks to provide C&I graduate students with a forum for presenting and discussing their work in a professional yet non-threatening atmosphere. The symposium will be held on Saturday March 11, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to attend the entire symposium.

There are two types of proposals: 1) paper presentations; and 2) poster presentations.

 

Paper Presentations

Graduate students may present papers individually or as a group (maximum 4 presenters). Types of papers to be considered for submission include, but are not limited to: papers to be presented at upcoming conferences, early research papers, Master’s theses, and seminar papers. Fifteen minutes will be allotted for each paper.

 

Poster Presentations

All posters will be presented concurrently in a 30-60 minutes session. Presenters will be given space to present their poster and are expected to be available for participant questions and comments.

 

To apply, please complete the attached application form. Proposals are due by February 8, 006. An acknowledgement that the proposal has been received will be returned to you. We hope to inform applicants of their acceptance by March 1, 2006.
