Were your predictions right?

NOW MAKE PREDICTIONS FOR THE NEXT PART OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

What do you think will happen when you hold two charged balloons next to each other?

What will they do?

TRY IT: Take two balloons and tie a string to the end of each one. Rub each balloon with the wool cloth and hold the balloons apart by the string. Hold one string in each hand. Slowly bring the two balloons closer together. What happens?

*** When you have finished both experiments, turn the paper over, and write a scientific explanation for each of these phenomena. You may use any resource in the room to back up your explanation.
