Science Network News was founded in 1988 by education professor Jack Easley, guided by the belief that
children are gifted with a natural curiosity and often ask questions which are profound
and interesting. The friends and colleagues of Jack Easley have continued this publication,
in an effort to encourage teachers to pay close attention to children's science questions,
to nurture inquiry in the classroom and to use the resources of the
University of Illinois.
