Project Title: Pick your brain!
Project Coordinators: Emmie Chen and Jack Tan

        Pick your brain.
        Trick your friends.
Come up with your own brain teasers.
You think you're smart? Try this!

Our project will involve having students come up with their own
brain teasers. Examples of these can be found in certain activity
books. We are interested in engaging them in an active process of
thinking -- creating their own brain teasers, solving others'
problems, and explaining their solutions (both their own and others').
As such, classes are encouraged to work in groups and submit as many
entries as possible.

Age groups can range from 12-18 years old. This project will start on
March 24, and end on April 25. Entries will be submitted via email to
us, and we will include these people on our mailing list. Each week
on Monday, we will update the list of brain teasers and include
comments or solutions on each problem submitted by other students.
During the course of the week, if there is a problem with a brain
teaser, we will inform the students involved to clarify the problem.
At the end of the project, we will post all the solutions to all
problems.

If this sounds interesting to your class, please let us know before
the project actually starts, and you can start working on it before
the official date.

Comments? Suggestions? We would appreciate any input. Email us at
ea-chen@uiuc.edu or jahk@uiuc.edu.
