Words of Wisdom- Given with Care
As the school year comes to an end it is important for students to
reflect on what they have learned. This helps them to see how much they
have changed and grown in the past year. To foster this reflection and
also to allow students to help other people I would like students to
offer advice to younger students. After finishing your first year of
junior high what tips can you give to incoming students? Is first
grade a lot different than kindergarten or college a lot different
than high school? How can students prepare? Students will not only help
other students, but they will also benefit from the suggestions given by
others. Once the entries are received they will be posted on a web
page so all participants can read the advice.
The entries should be at least one sentence but no longer than one
paragraph. The submission can be written as a class and one copy
submitted or each individual student can submit his/her own idea. Five unique
and helpful pieces of advice will be selected and e-mailed to all
participants. The deadline for entries in April 25. If you would like to
participate please e-mail me at
miskovic@students.uiuc.edu
I will provide you with more information and answer any questions you may
have.
