The best thing about this project: There were past grocery lists that we could use. We didn't have to wait until we received one. Cross curriculum - This could be used during several subjects. (Math - comparison of measuring units: Metric and English, Practice with the calculator, Using math survival skills: Taking students to a grocery store and showing them that you have to "shop" around. Showing that you have to figure out which product would be cheaper and does it make a difference. Social Studies : Geography Longitude and latitude , comparing different countries foods, custom, transportations, economy. Health - why some countries have health problems. English - composing letters to people to obtain information. It really brought home why the difference between a country that is very plentiful and a country that is struggling to survive..

The worst thing about this project: Since this is an old project, not many lists are being added at this time. Working with a different person's class. I had to work with his schedule (Not the project's fault)

What I would change to improve this project (and why): Most of the lists that are on the page come from the United States. I would like to have more lists from different countries so that the students can seem nore cultural differences. It was difficult to obtain a map that had enough detail on it to show the places that we were talking about but big enough for the whole class to see. If I was doing this again, I think that I would look for the technology needed to be able to show the detail map to a large audience.
