Description Leadership preparation programming has come under increasing scrutiny in recent years because of the importance of staffing schools with effective leaders who have the knowledge and skills to positively influence student learning. Critics have expressed concerns about the relevance of the curriculum for aspiring school leaders, theory-to-practice connections, the experience base and diversity of educational leadership faculty, and student quality. This presentation highlights preliminary findings of online surveys of department heads and faculty members.
