Description The purpose of this lecture is to discuss the relationship between development regimes associated with science and the developmental sciences broadly defined. A specific focus will be on the spatial dimensions of opportunity in the context of metropolitan America. Trends from metropolitan Dallas and St. Louis will inform this discussion of research, regional development, and civic responsibility.
